I got stuck in a ditch during hunting season and when i got pulled out my 84 wouldnt start up . I finally got it going but now it turns over real slowly and then kicks in . I just had a new distributor and altinator put in because it has a bad idle now too. dont know what the hell is going on.

Turning over slowly, you may have packed the starter with mud or something.

Check all battery connections and check the voltage.  You could have also damaged the alternator and you are running low volts.
