I had my mechanic wire my cooling fan with a
remote switch, keeping the automatic thermstat also.
With the daily temps breaking 100 daily, its only making about 5-10
degrees difference for my afternoon drive, hopefully when the heat
breaks it will make a bigger difference.
My daily drive:
5 miles of GRIDLOCK.
17 miles of stop n go

Have you checked the mechanical clutch fan? If it is not kicking in the way it should the electric can't cool it alone.
I put a new one on mine and my temps never go over 200 (correct 195 stat) even when idling with the AC cranked in 95-100 deg weather.
I have a new CSF 2 row rad in mine as well. Stock it only had a thin little 1 core rad. Got it from Radiatorbarn.com for $130 shipped.
