Hi, I am installing a painless wireing harness in my 81 CJ7 (inline 6 cyl). While removing the old wirind I had to cut the wires from the distributor to the ignition module. Does anyone know how to connect the distributor to the ignition module? thanks, -jeff

Yes, It is actually a fairly easy and popular procedure known as a "Nutter Bypass" - you Can find more information about it here http://www.4x4wire.com/jeep/tech/electrical/jn-ignition99/ you will either need to tap into the purple wire on the back side of the module plug or if you can find the body side wiring from an older jeep it will have the appropriate wiring for the bypass. I have an 84 CJ-7 with the 258 , i just did the bypass two weeks ago and used the plugs from a 79 cherokee so that i didnt have to chop into the wires on the module side of the plug. I have noticed a vast improvement from it
