looking for a carter carb

trying to find a carter carb for a 79 cj7 258 6cyl. were they put on any other vehicles than jeeps.

I have one on an 82 CJ 258, sitting on a pallet in San Dimas California. If smog is an issue, I suggest going to EFI If smog is not an issue, I suggest going with a weber or something.

I went with a Motorcraft carb , simple no Electronic any thing John Fetz lake Havasu Az
