neutral safety switch on manual transmission

Hi, I am in the process of installing a painless wiring harness in the engine compartment. It's asking me questions about my "neutral safety switch". I'm starting to get the impression that these switches only exist on automatic transmissions. Is that correct? If not, where the heck is it on my 1981 Jeep CJ 7 with a manual 4 speed? thanks, -jeff

On the older vehicles such as your and my CJ's there is no neutral safety switch on the manual tranny, only the automatic tranny. Dan
