hello i recently joined this website and i have a question concerning my jeep. with in the last two weeks i noticed that around 2000 rpm my jeep makes a strange whining/buzzing sound that sounds like it is coming from my rear differential. i do not know all that much about vehicles, but i am deffinately willing to learn. i have a 2003 jeep wrangler/renegade standard 2.5 ltr

Do you have a limited-slip differential? That sounds like limited-slip noise. Check the fluid, and add enough OF THE CORRECT FLUID (limited-slip fluid if it's limited-slip, regular fluid if it's not) so that a little runs out the filler hole.
