I have an '85 cj7 in need of new shocks. I replaced the front shocks yesterday with no problems. Today, I spent the last hour cursing as I tried to remove the rear shocks. The nuts came off easily enough, but I can't remove the shocks. Is there a trick to this, or do I need more brute strength? Thanks -frank

Frank, Sometimes you can jack or change the jack height to move the angle and take some binding off the shock. You may need to (CAUTION) burn out the rubber bushing. What kind of shocks are you using? I have a '80 CJ7 w258 and need to replace my shocks but have been limited to few selections. Albert
