Ok first off does anyone know what they globe looking thing is above the rearview mirror on a 1995 Jeep Cherokee? I took it down and it had some type of computer on the back of it. There was 12 volts going through even AFTER I disconnected it. However, after heading to the store and coming back there was no longer 12 volts going through. I am actually trying to rewire my 4 KC lights that I have above the jeep to come down to here. Before I even wired it the 12 volts weren't going through.
ALSO I thought that my car was dead because I realized that the interior lights were not on in my jeep [actually had taken my other car to the store so jeep was sitting at home], anyways, I started my jeep and it started right up [so obviously not dead]. I than realized that my locks were not working [but my windows were] AND my radio was not working. So basically does anyone know what could be wrong? I hooked the "computer" back up that I had disconnected [the globe thing which I believe to be some type of security system] and it STILL DIDN'T work. Some people had actually used these wires to hook up other things, which I have read somewhere else. I checked my fuses and they all seemed to be fine also, unless there is some hidden fuse. I didn't touch any other wires, so I am not sure what is going on. IDEAS?
